Espadrilles, also known by the local name espardenyes, are considered the most characteristic garment of the Valencian region. Their name comes from the word "esparto", the material used to make the soles. Originally made of canvas and esparto grass, the espadrilles were worn by the working classes, including soldiers, labourers and peasants. Although other materials were added over time, espadrilles remain a cool and comfortable footwear, making them an indispensable accessory. Today, espadrilles have become a blend of tradition and the latest trend, going around the world and being adapted by fashion designers on their catwalks.

Ana Real is a skilled artisan from Valencia who started making crochet espadrilles in her spare time a few years ago. With a passion for creating, she decided to showcase her designs in her shop in Valencia, in a busy tourist area. She quickly discovered that her espadrilles were very popular with foreign and local visitors, and decided to expand her product line and give free rein to her creativity. Due to the growing demand, she now enlists the help of another craftswoman to meet the needs of her customers and offer a wide variety of beautiful and cheerful espadrilles. Ana Real's brand has become a success thanks to her dedication and ability to create unique pieces with a casual touch.
